A couple weeks ago I was asked to partner with Ninja for the holidays! If you know me, I love smoothies. I love smoothies, but my blender isn’t the best. I have had my eyes on a Vitamix for a long time, but I haven’t bitten the bullet yet to buy one. Long story short, I was super excited to get this partnership! The contract said that Ninja preferred a holiday recipe, so I really went all out and did a Peppermint Mocha Smoothie!

I walked around my apartment with this smoothie taking photos of it for 20 minutes because it was that beautiful. I mean seriously, look at it.

Obviously had to shoot it in front of the tree too, just for looks. Tree credit goes to the Christmas Queen- my roommate!

Small plug for the Ninja® Foodi™ Power Nutri™ Duo® Blender with smartTORQUE™ (that’s a mouthful): it blended my smoothie in 14 seconds. It actually did, I didn’t even have to touch it. Definitely worth the money if you’re in the market for a new blender!
PEPPERMINT MOCHA SMOOTHIE
PREP TIME: 5 MINS. COOK TIME: 0 MINS. SERVES: 2
- 1/3 cup room temperature or chilled coffee
- 2 frozen bananas
- 2 heaping TBS unsweetened cacao powder
- 1/8 tsp peppermint extract
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 TBS ground flaxseeds
- 1 TBS almond butter
- 2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- Optional: 1 Scoop of Protein Powder
Preparation:
Place all ingredients into a high speed blender and whirl away until smooth. I was posing mine for Instagram, so I used organic chocolate sauce on the inside of the Mason Jar and whipped cream and crushed peppermint as toppings to get the perfect shot!
